Harlow celebrated the B'nei Mitzvah of its first ever set of triplets, David, Hannah and Nathan Brooks. A record congregation of about 180 people turned up to hear them read their portion, making it feel like a real community event. The parents, Ruth and Brian, are strong supporters of the synagogue and Ruth has taught in the religion school for a number of years. The children are quite at home there, having been regular visitors since babyhood when they formed the nucleus of the mother and toddler group. |
