From the Chairman and the Board of Trustees of the Harlow Jewish Community.
Dear Reader,
We are pleased to announce that following introduction of our new website in April 2021, the Harlow Jewish Community (HJC) has now a new way to accept monetary donations from its members, friends and the general public.
A newly introduced DONATE button displayed on our website is the fast, safe and convenient way to make a one-off or regular donation. The donation mechanism is supported and maintained by the Charity Aid Foundation (CAF), a well-known and trusted charity-bank with significant experience in helping donors, campaigners and private individuals to process donations efficiently.
Our Treasury Team is particularly delighted with the way our community is going to receive future donations. The CAF set-up allows us to claim the Gift Aid automatically saving our treasurers time when dealing with Gift Aid claims. For you, as a donor who lives in the UK, this means that every £1 you give an extra 25p will be added by the HMRC as tax relief.
We would like to encourage everyone to make donations, no matter how small or big they are. Your donations will be greatly appreciated and be used for the benefit of our community, members, guests and charities the HJC works with. You can make a one-off donation of £10, £20 or £40 or specify a desired sum of money. There is also an option to donate on a regular basis via a monthly direct debit set up, i.e. £10 or £20 p/m. All donations will be duly acknowledged, recorded by our Treasury Team and kept in the HJC bank accounts.
Thank you!
