Our Rabbi Irit attended to the ordination of Sarah Bagnall as deacon at St. Alban's Cathedral on the 29th of June. Sarah was ordained by The Right Revd Dr Jane Mainwaring, Bishop of Hertford.
In words of Rabbi Irit:
"I met Sarah when I was invited to do a teaching seder for the church in High Wych about 3 years ago, and Sarah and I have been in contact ever since, studying together and discussing theology. Sarah attends Adult Education regularly and comes occasionally to our services and events.
The service itself was very interesting - very different from my own ordination as a Rabbi! I was very pleased to meet not only Sarah's family, but also the ordaining Bishop."
